Are you looking for a somewhat faster-moving class that will
leave you feeling like you’ve done some work? If so, our Flow Yoga classes are
your choice.
Our Flow classes offer something for everyone. “Flow” (or
“Vinyasa”) yoga traditionally combines breath and movement, and include
sequences of postures that are linked together. Classes begin with warm ups and
basic asanas (postures), and for students who have achieved a degree of comfort
in their yoga practice, you have the opportunity to explore more challenging
asanas.
We offer both Flow Yoga, which are mixed-level classes where
students are encouraged to work at their own pace, and Restorative Flow, which
moves more slowly to build mindfulness and release tension. Flow and Restorative
Flow will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Kate Miller
Kate has been studying movement and teaching alignment based yoga since 1995. She has also been a practicing birth doula since 2005 and became a licensed massage therapist in 2019. She holds a BFA from the University of New Mexico and MA from The University of Santa Monica. While Kate’s classes are grounded the eight limbs of classical yoga, she combines it with her current knowledge of science.
Kate’s prenatal yoga classes focus a full spectrum of ways to support
the pregnant person. She sets a strong foundation in every class by
beginning with breathing practices and meditation to relieve stress and
bring balance to the nervous system in order to connect and focus. Kate
weaves her knowledge of birth and parenthood through her clear
alignment based instruction. Students will move through mindful
exercises and yoga asanas with the intention to create the support and
strength that will offer balance to their changing pregnant bodies.
Community and emotional well being is key to these classes and students
are encouraged to stay after and enjoy each other’s company, share
resources and make plans to stay connected.

Jennifer Holshue
Jenn’s yoga journey started circa 2010 and meandered
through various styles of yoga, with hatha yoga providing the foundation
of her practice. What began as an agreeable form of exercise and
much-needed stress relief also came to provide Jenn with tools for
mindfulness, self care, personal growth, and emotional and mental
groundedness and wellbeing in general.
A lifelong
student and spiritual seeker, Jenn’s fascination with religious
symbolism, mythology, and occult systems such as Tarot and astrology
revealed to her parallels with yoga philosophy from ancient India. She
wanted to be able to articulate and share these connective insights that
had deepened her relationship to yoga while giving reverence to yoga’s
origins, teachings, and traditions. This led Jenn to complete her
RYT-200 certificate through Lighthouse Yoga Center’s hatha yoga teacher
training program led by Tara Lemerise in May 2022.
Jenn’s
classes offer flowing, meditative movement, satisfying stretches,
breathwork, and a dose of mystical insight that is relatable and
delivered with warmth and humor (don’t let her dark aesthetic fool
you!). Her hope is for students to leave her classes feeling relaxed in
mind and body, with a greater awareness of their own inner wisdom.

Colleen Brisport Sequeda
Colleen is a devoted yogi, lawyer and labor and human rights advocate. She believes in the power of yoga to create social change and harmony. Her yoga classes seek to open the hearts, minds and inner intelligence of her students to realize the positive impact and peace that they can have in their own lives and in the world around them. Colleen has practiced Forrest, Kundalini and Hatha yoga for over 10 years. She is constantly enhancing her skills and loves being part of the Lighthouse community.
Amy Croke
Amy's journey with yoga began more than 20 years ago, though it was only
recently that yoga has played a more prominent role in her life. She
completed a RYT-200 Teacher Training centered on the ashtanga vinyasa
flow method in 2021, and she continues to be an ashtanga student. Amy's
personal yoga practice reliably brings calm and contentment to her life,
for which she is grateful. She is always trying to live her yoga! Her
classes meld movement and breath and offer students reliability,
presence, strength, and joy. Amy is a lifelong learner,
environmentalist, minimalist, lover of outdoor adventures, and mom of
two.
