Lighthouse Combined Healing Circle - Black History Month Edition

Inter-racial Healing Circle + Restorative Yoga for Ethnic and Race-Based Stress and Trauma

Saturday, February 27th 7pm-9pm.

Free, donations accepted. All proceeds will be donated to the Baltimore-based Holistic Life Foundation https://hlfinc.org/

Our healing circle is a reminder that healing is always available as long as we continue to create space physically, mentally and spiritually. It is an opportunity for us as a Lighthouse family to build on what learned about ourselves in our journeys to be anti-racists in 2020. The circle will allow us to discuss our experiences with racism in the yoga community and how we have overcome those challenges, and how we have used our practice to heal from trauma on and off the mat. We will also take time to look at ways we can also be anti-racists in our practice.

This circle is open to everyone. We hope that those who attended the BIPOC and White Bodied healing circles last year join us as well. We will follow our discussion with a 30 minute class adapted from Gail Parker's book, Restorative Yoga for Ethnic and Race-Based Stress and Trauma, a restorative/healing yoga class led by Colleen Brisport Sequeda one of our Black teachers at Lighthouse.

The Healing Circle is free, but there's a link for donations on the sign-up page. Donations will go to the Baltimore-based Holistic Life Foundation https://hlfinc.org/
