6-Week Series to Explore Your Chakras

Pricing: $100 general / $50 members

Chakras are powerful energy centers through which we uptake and transmute Source energy into our physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies. When we experience stress, anxiety, or trauma, our physical and energetic bodies contract and cut off our ability to communicate with Source energy. In this special workshop series, we'll soften, expand, and empower our chakras so that we can harmonize with universal energy.

Each session of this series will begin by learning about the chakras and their unique energetic and emotional tenors. Then, we'll weave together yoga asana, pranayama practices, and guided meditation to directly awaken each chakra, and help you discover which of your individual energy centers are strongest and which are blocked or constricted. Each part of this series is designed to build your skillfulness in feeling your chakras, and to deepen your visceral experience of prana moving within, through, and around your energy centers.

Week 1: The Root & Sacral Chakras

Build a foundation that is empowered and grounded, and supports the deep work of the higher level chakras. This session will focus on poses and breathing practices that work around the pelvis, lower belly, and sacrum. 

Week 2: The Solar Plexus Chakra
Connect to your personal power, and build a strong sense of self purpose. This session will focus on poses and breathing practices that free up the diaphragm, solar plexus, and lower ribs.

Week 3: The Heart Chakra
Develop a boundless heart and open to your innate sense of wholeness and love. This session will focus on poses and breathing practices that open the heart, rib basket, and shoulders.

Week 4: The Throat Chakra
Learn to free the channel of the throat to develop an open connection between heart and mind. This session will focus on poses and breathing practices that work with the upper shoulders, neck, and jaw.

Week 5: The Third Eye & Crown Chakras
Awaken your innate connection to spirit and intuition, and feel an expanding sense of connection to the vastness of consciousness. This session will focus on poses and breathing practices that soften the brain, skull, and eyes (all three!).

Week 6: The Whole Chakra System and The Sushumna
Experience a cohesive, system-wide sense of freedom and expansion through all of the chakras and the central channel. This session will focus on poses and breathing practices that free the central channel, linking all of the chakras together.




Abby Dobbs

Abby is a Santa Fe-based yoga teacher, bodyworker, and energyworker, who weaves together over a decade of experience to bring a holistic view of physical anatomy, energetics, and movement to her classes, workshops, and one-on-one sessions. Over the years, Abby has completed foundational and advanced yoga teacher trainings with Forrest Yoga, YogaWorks, Rocket Yoga, and Yin Yoga, as well as bodywork trainings in Massage Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and Myofascial Release.

Abby's unique approach to teaching yoga builds the student’s awareness and physical strength through a combination of mindfulness, intentional breathing, and movement. Each class is intelligently designed to help students learn about their body and what feels most aligned for their individual practice. Students are guided into the present moment, and to connect to a deep sense of inner peace and grounding. Off the mat, Abby offers spiritual mentorship, reads fantasy novels, cooks lots of vegan food, and snuggles her two cats Billy and Nugget.
