$0.00 December Book Club
All are invited to join the Lighthouse Yoga Center book club discussion
on Saturday, December 11th at 12pm as we share and discuss, one, some or
all of the essays assembled in the book, You Are Your Best Thing: Vulnerability, Shame Resilience and Black Experience.
A
compilation of over 20 inspirational stories reflecting on "
Vulnerability, Shame Resilience, and the Black Experience", this moving
collection of writings edited by Brené Brown , and founder of the Me Too
Movement and Tarana Burke, create an opportunity to reflect on the black
experience and more generally how we can show up as our best selves
despite life's setbacks and challenges. Take a break from the holiday
season to come together and discuss a book that seeks to create
compassion, empathy and understanding of black humanity. Furthermore,
these stories may provoke insights into how your own experiences, good,
bad, ugly, and enlightened combine so that "You Are Your Best Thing."
