Delve Into the Energy Body to Develop A More Subtle Awareness of Your Practice
As we each develop our skillfulness in yoga practice, one thing that becomes apparent is that the more you practice, the more you feel deeper nuanced sensations and experiences. In this special immersion, join Abby to dive into some of the more subtle parts of the yoga practice that go deeper than the physical body. This immersion will include learning about:

  • Chakras: learn about the inherent power within the chakra system, and how to utilize it to create transformation
  • Pranayama: experience a wide range of breathing practices, or pranayama, and learn about how the impact the physical, energetic, and emotional bodies
  • The Nervous System: learn about how asana, pranayama, and energetic tools like the chakras directly create short-term and long-term effects to the nervous system 

This immersion is open to yoga teachers and students of all levels. Yoga Teachers can apply this immersion towards 8 hours of Continuing Education (CEs) with Yoga Alliance. This immersion is part of the Hatha Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training.

Abby Dobbs

Abby is a Santa Fe-based yoga teacher, bodyworker, and energyworker, who weaves together over a decade of experience to bring a holistic view of physical anatomy, energetics, and movement to her classes, workshops, and one-on-one sessions. Over the years, Abby has completed foundational and advanced yoga teacher trainings with Forrest Yoga, YogaWorks, Rocket Yoga, and Yin Yoga, as well as bodywork trainings in Massage Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and Myofascial Release.

Abby's unique approach to teaching yoga builds the student’s awareness and physical strength through a combination of mindfulness, intentional breathing, and movement. Each class is intelligently designed to help students learn about their body and what feels most aligned for their individual practice. Students are guided into the present moment, and to connect to a deep sense of inner peace and grounding. Off the mat, Abby offers spiritual mentorship, reads fantasy novels, cooks lots of vegan food, and snuggles her two cats Billy and Nugget.
