$54.00 Finding Calm – Practices to Reduce Stress and Nourish the Nervous System
Finding yourself out of balance, wired or feeling like you’ve taken on
more than you can manage at times? Looking for a change? A space to feel
calm and rejuvenated? Join us for a series of three classes focused on
calming and down regulating the nervous system. Each class session will
include opportunities to practice gentle and restorative yoga, other
calming techniques from qigong and energy medicine, breathwork, and
meditation. Each class will end with a sweet and nourishing savasana.
Jen Skillicorn
Jen Skillicorn found yoga after college when she started taking yoga
classes with my sister. Having been a dance major in college, yoga
filled her need of movement while also offering a spiritual practice.
After a number of years of practicing, she decided it was time to
reinvigorate her practice and committed to taking a 200-hour yoga
teacher training through Lighthouse yoga Center led by Tara Lemerise and
Rebecca Henry. In Jen’s approach to teaching, she likes to make space
for students to take a break from the busyness of their daily lives and
demanding schedules and to do’s to nourish their mind, body and soul in a
safe, non-competitive and supportive environment. Her classes are
energizing, grounding, playful, and renewing. She works towards
providing students with experiences and mindsets to take their yoga off
their mats and into their daily lives to contribute to making the world a
kinder, more compassionate world.
