$36.00 Personalize your Practice
A 90-minute workshop to align your practice with your body and energy!
We
all have a natural way our bodies and energy tend to operate, and that
matters for how balanced and grounded we feel. This workshop helps you
understand your personal yoga blueprint and adapt your practice—whether
in class or on your own—over time.
Using easy-to-understand energy
patterns or doshas (often described as airy, fiery, or grounded), we’ll
explore how different qualities of movement, breath, and meditation can
support or strain your system—especially when repeated day after day.
Through guided movement, breathwork, and reflection, you’ll:
- Complete a
brief quiz to identify your primary energy pattern or dosha
- Experience
short flows that demonstrate what supports balance for different energy
types
- Begin building a simple set of poses, breathwork, and meditation
that match your energy profile
You’ll leave with a personalized sample
practice you can take home and continue to explore!
Interested in more
personalized guidance? After the workshop, you’ll have the option to
book a 60-minute 1:1 session to further refine your practice based on
your dosha, energy profile, day-to-day needs, and lifestyle. Workshop
participants receive $20 off this session.
Jen Skillicorn
Jen Skillicorn has been practicing yoga for over 25 years, beginning
shortly after college and incorporating it into her life ever since. She
deeply believes in the power of yoga and movement to relieve stress,
cultivate presence, and help us show up as our best selves. In Jen’s
classes, students are invited to step away from the busyness of daily
life and immerse themselves in a supportive, non-competitive space where
they can nourish their mind, body, and soul. She strives to create
classes that are both energizing and grounding, as well as playful and
renewing. She provides students with opportunities to take their yoga
off their mats and into their daily lives to contribute to a kinder,
more compassionate world. Jen lives in Takoma Park and completed her
200-hour yoga teacher training at Lighthouse Yoga Center in 2023.
