$36.00 The Shoulder Show
If you are plagued by a cranky neck, limitation in your arm movements,
old shoulder injuries that never seemed to heal properly, or just
general grouchiness when you do the high demand upper body work in your
yoga practice, this workshop is for you! Your shoulders are the stars of
this show with drills and exercises focused on your upper body strength
and flexibility. You’ll learn about the structure of the shoulders
along with new ways to approach common shoulder-challenging yoga poses
like downward dog, plank, eagle pose, cow-face pose, bridge pose, and
shoulderstand. You’ll leave armed (pun totally intended!) with more
awareness, strength, and mobility in your neck, shoulders, and upper
back.
Tara Lemerise
Tara Lemerise teaches the time-honored philosophy and practice of yoga
in an accessible and joyful way. Registered with Yoga Alliance at
E-RYT-200/E-RYT-500, Tara has been teaching yoga philosophy, movement,
and meditation since 2005. She has over 9,000 hours of teaching
experience.
According to Tara, there is nothing to “fix” with yoga.
Instead, there are only more opportunities to understand and be more
fully present to our separate and together experiences. She is known for
offering clear and helpful instruction to students at all levels and
makes the wisdom of yoga feel relevant and relatable.
Tara’s classes
include action-based instructions in asana that are a result of study of
anatomy, kinesiology and creative movement. In addition, Tara provides
plenty of opportunities for stillness and contemplation in her classes,
which are deeply influenced by her study and practice of Restorative
Yoga.
