For Rocio, yoga is more than just a practice; it's been a profound source of healing and transformation. She took her first yoga class in 2005 as a way to navigate years of bulimia and binge eating. Over time, yoga became an anchor, guiding her to reconnect with her body, mind, and spirit. This personal experience fuels her teaching style, fostering deep empathy and care for her students. Rocio's classes welcome all levels and encourage listening to their bodies, offering ample modifications for a safe exploration of their bodies. After completing her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Radiance Yoga in March of 2025, Rocio is committed to guiding others on their unique journeys of self-discovery. Her Kundalini-inspired classes cultivate inner awareness though mindful movement, evocative chanting, purifying breathwork, and intentional meditation. She creates a warm atmosphere that encourages students to awaken their inner wisdom, experience joy, and embrace the healing power of laughter. Beyond her Kundalini offerings, Rocio is also a Transpersonal Meditation Teacher, a facilitator of Transpersonal Women's Circles, and is trained in the intuitive wisdom of shamanic Tarot, providing a holistic approach to inner awareness and wellbeing. Originally from Puerto Rico, Rocio actively collaborates with the IYTA Escuela Superior de Yoga to advance the practice of Kundalini yoga and meditation on the island, bringing her passion for this tradition to her homeland. Rocio has called Old Town Alexandria home since 2004, where she enjoys strolling through the town with her husband and two dogs, dining at local restaurants, and attending church. In her downtime, she loves sipping Puerto Rican coffee on her porch and finding solace through practices that nurture her wellbeing.
